Accessibility

Our commitment to accessibility

YouWork is committed to ensuring our website is accessible to people of all abilities. We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards.

Our standards

We design and build youwork.pro with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as our target. This includes making the site perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust for users of assistive technologies including screen readers, keyboard navigation, and voice input.

What we've done

  • Skip-to-content link at the top of every page for keyboard users
  • Semantic HTML throughout — proper heading hierarchy, landmark regions, and list markup
  • Descriptive alt text on all meaningful images
  • Visible focus indicators for keyboard navigation
  • ARIA labels and roles on interactive components
  • Color contrast meeting WCAG AA minimums (4.5:1 for normal text)
  • Form fields with associated labels and error announcements
  • Reduced motion support via prefers-reduced-motion
  • Page language declared (lang="en")

Known limitations

Our interactive app demo (embedded in the homepage) is a visual prototype not designed for screen reader use. We are working to replace it with an accessible alternative.
